Obligations of Parents and Dancers & policies

  • Attend all general meetings during the season

  • Acquire an active email account. If you do not already have one, please get one and use it on all registration forms. I also regularly review information sent about rehearsal dates, scheduled performances, workshop dates, and fees.

  • QUESTIONS RELATED TO THE ARTISTIC DIRECTIONS OF THE DANCERS WILL NOT BE DISCUSSED, SUCH AS CHOREOGRAPHY, LINE PLACEMENT, ETC. BY THE TECHNICAL DIRECTOR OR ANY STAFF MEMBERS.

  • QUESTIONS RELATED TO ANOTHER DANCER WILL NOT BE DISCUSSED BY THE TECHNICAL DIRECTOR OR ANY STAFF MEMBERS.

  • Please understand the financial commitment you are making. This includes tuition, costumes, tights, pictures (TBD), shoes, etc., as outlined more specifically in this packet on the tuition page.

  • Have your child dressed properly for each dance class. This is important for dance class discipline, and it is outlined later in this packet.

  • Parents/Guardians, siblings, relatives, or friends are not allowed to enter the classroom space for any reason unannounced or uninvited.

Attendance:

Regular attendance is a cornerstone of your commitment to your dance journey. It is not just a requirement but a key to your progress. Please note that there are no make-up classes. If you would like to perform in the recital, we strongly discourage absences leading up to the performance. Remember, missed classes are missed opportunities, and refunds are not given.

Class Cancelations:

We reserve the right to cancel classes due to low enrollment or inclement weather. Enrolled families will be contacted to discuss alternative options.

Health and wellness:

Please keep your dancer/s at home if they are sick, having a fever, and/or vomiting. Your child must remain symptom-free for 24 hours before returning to dance to ensure a healthy environment for our students and staff. As dancers, it is essential that we get the proper nutrition. Please ensure your child has what they need to fuel their body to perform their best!

Lost and Found:

Items left at the studio for a month will be taken to Goodwill. Please ensure that all clothing and shoes have your dancer’s name written on them so we may return them promptly.

Punctuality:

The dancers must arrive on time for each rehearsal. Your child should be picked up directly after class.

Service:

Throughout the year, we will have a few opportunities to go out in our community and bring joy through acts of service. We ask that if possible every member comes to one seviver event to help the community of commerce!

Drop-off and Pick up:

If your child is 6th grade and under we ask that you meet them for drop off and pick up at the door at least.
